The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services stage developed for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
